Basic blackjack rules on our tables
Our tables follow standard blackjack. The goal is simple: get a hand total closer to 21 than the dealer without going over. Here's how play unfolds.
- Natural blackjack
- An Ace and a 10-value card dealt on your first two cards. This beats all other hands and usually pays 3 to 2.
- Hit
- Request another card. You can hit as many times as you want until you stand or bust (go over 21).
- Stand
- Keep your current total. You stop receiving cards, and your hand plays against the dealer's.
- Double down
- Double your bet and receive exactly one more card. A power move on strong starting hands like 11 or 10.
- Split
- If your two cards have the same value, split them into two separate hands, each with your original bet. Play both hands independently.
- Insurance
- When the dealer shows an Ace, you can insure against a blackjack by betting half your original wager. Rarely a winning bet statistically.
The dealer acts last. After all players have finished, the dealer reveals their hole card and must hit on 16 or less, stand on 17 or more. If the dealer busts, all remaining players win. If the dealer stands, we compare your total to theirs—highest wins. Ties (called a "push") return your bet with no gain or loss.
